We try here to explain to all OpenMandriva users, how easy it is for everybody to file a bug-report with the maximum precision in the report.

What are bugs?

A software bug is an error, flaw, failure, or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways.

More you can read on here

Where to report them?

If you want to report a bug please use our official bug reporting tool, even if you already reported it by sending and e-mail, IRC or use our forums.

Good practices with bug reporting

  • Always provide detailed and precise description
  • Use English language in your bug report
  • Use attachment feature
  • Attach screenshots
  • Attach program output from console with LC_ALL=C prefix - like LC_ALL=C urpmi elfutils
  • Attach joutput from journalctl -f -n 1000
  • One bug, one report
